A Life Lesson by Eren Yeager

Eren yeager, the Protagonist of a master class Manga and anime series, is not a selfish. I heard most of the people calling him a selfish mass murderer, who murdered almost 80% of the world for the sake of his life. these peoples always says that Eren is actually a true selfish character, an image of pure evil, he even used his father to make out his selfish game, all he ever think is about himself, always comparing himself with the others, wanting what others have while he hasn't, although its not actually shown in both the anime and manga but as a viewer we can extract these facts that from the half of season till the end of season 3, that Eren feels inferior from his comrades. And maybe people love to watch that winny Eren that always do crying and depends on other. and sure why they don't love to watch that Eren, although like most of the shounen anime, we can relate to that Eren more than the Eren of season 4. that is why most of the people calls eren a selfish character that think nothing but only about himself.
But from where I see, there is a new shade of Eren every time, its how beautiful Isayama wrote this character. Every shade of Eren just feels so connected and attached that when I think about it I can relate to it as well.

From the beginning of the story Eren is completely changed and in some way he never changed. for a reference in the start of the story Eren is a character who always argues with others about his freedom always fighting to let him be on his own, Let him be what he wants to be, but at the same time he wants to be like Mikasa or like Armin or Reiner, The fact that he wanted to be like them contradicts his existence.

That's what happens in real life too like if see a person who does some remarkable things. We wants ourselves to be just like them, we starts acting like them, because we thought they are perfect, but was it who we actually are. In some cases we see a person who does some remarkable things and we starts following him and then another person comes who does even more outstandingly remarkable thing then we try to become just like the next person and that shift or rather completely changes our perspective to look on to things.

we all do this even though we know that what we are copying is not the actuality of our nature, Until we Realizes the importance of our own existence in the world. And that is what Eren Realized in season 4, The answer to the question of what is his importance in this world. If we see this in the light of reality this realization is differs from people to people as age, maturity, atmosphere in which they live and that's the reason why people just can't relate to Eren.

This 'Wanted to be like them thing' in Eren always makes him feel inferior to the others and in the rush of achieving what others have always puts him in Danger. Like in Season 1, when the arc of Capturing the female titan outside the walls during expedition was going on, and the female Titan rushes at the tale of Levi and Eren,

Eren thinks of transforming in titan and fight to save his comrade, but after a little conversation between Levi Squad, he wanted be just like one of them that, one who believes in his comrades and didn't transform which eventually leads to his comrades death while protecting them. and After that he almost rushed like Mikasa to take Revenge as, Just like Mikasa rushes to protect him, which shows that he wants to be like Mikasa, but we all know what happens, he lost and gets abducted.

another example of this is in season 2 the image of Reiner being a brother to him is so fixated in his mind the he ignored the possibility of Reiner being armored titan which eventually leads to his abduction again and puts his comrades in complete chaos while saving him.

But at the end of season 3 Eren realized the true nature of every person he admired who are either dead or betrayed him like his father because as his son at some moment he would have tried to be like him too, its natural we all have the feeling to be like that. And after knowing Grisha's true nature he knows that no one in this world is perfect. And that makes him to search and adapt his own personality which we are currently seeing in season 4.

If someone tries to take his freedom, he would not hesitate to take theirs. But its not the thing that his personality holds, there is more to his personality, he cares deeply for the person he knows and thought once as a family, except, if some external condition not arise to put him in the place to hurt them.

that's the the thing which actually most of the people possess but doesn't shows easily and almost lock it inside of them. its a combination of feelings such as, to overlook on someone fault and accepting him or her as family or friend again and to deeply complete the wishes of the person who is close to us. we all have this part of feelings in our personality too. we just overlooks it most of the time.

In case of Eren, I realized this thing after watching episode 20 of season 4 where Eren and Zeke roams in Grisha's memories. just think of it why Eren let Grisha sees and talk to Zeke, if he wants he wouldn't do it but he did, as he was completing the wishes of Grisha and Zeke. in the same episode we saw Grisha's desparation to apologize to Zeke, Grisha wished to say a sorry and he did it in the episode and for Zeke, he always thought of his father as the one who never let him feels like he has a father, all the kid Zeke ever wanted is his father who treats him like a father who sees him as his son and eren gave Zeke that side of Grisha which he got to see when he was a child.

SPOILER!!!!! in chapter 138 and 139, Eren fulfilled the wish of Mikasa's, as he lived with him peacefully, maybe showed him how much he loves, he does everything what Mikasa ever wants from him as shown in the lost girls OVA. He also fulfilled the wish of Floch's and all of the people's of Paradis, the safety of Eldia, he fulfilled the wish of Connie to finally see her mom again, and may be jeans to, as he wants to be with Mikasa, who knows? He fulfilled Armin's dreams, showing him the burning water and the snows. He eventually Overlooked Reiner's fault and also in some way pull out Reiner from his split personality issue, he fulfilled Falco's dream of making Eldians recognized as humans and not devils. and that is what a man does for the ones they call family or friend, Its what a father does for his family and its what a lover do for his love, and a friend do for there friends.

and if you say that in the end of the Manga Paradis got destroyed, I would say firstly we don't now what happened. and secondly it happens way after the events of attack on titan, I mean all of his friends must be dead at that point. and he if you say he traumatized his father and even responsible for the death of Sasha, I would say it was necessary for him to make this sacrifice that is why he died in the end of the story. because if he want he can easily do what he wish for, i.e., spending the rest of his life peacefully with Mikasa, But he sacrificed himself because it was necessary to make everyone happy. because if he decides to be alive he would have made trouble to Mikasa and Armin as he will be declared to be hanged till death for his crime and knowing Mikasa's nature that would make trouble to her

If you are mature enough you can never hate the character of Eren yeager because every time you look at his personality you would find something new which you can learn. like as we discussed we can learn that we should be what we are and never tries to copy  any other person or character because our character our personality is the thing that makes us strong. and secondly we should always try to make the peoples in surrounding happy and if necessary we must be ready to make sacrifices.

and that is what we can learn from his character.

TATA BYE BYE!!!
